The 1st XI started well and controlled the tempo of the game. We should have taken the lead early on from a set piece. However, this missed opportunity seemingly sparked the opposition attack into life and a devastating 25-minute period from the QEGS number 9 meant BGS we went into half time trailing 4-0.

Our 1st XI took all the half-time instructions on board and again looked the more polished team in the second getting a goal back after 17 minutes. BGS continued to push and press for more but some last ditch defending and missed opportunities meant the game finished 4-1.
