BGS started strongly against Hulme Grammar. We were clinical in the circle and had a strong conversion rate, this allowed us to take an early lead in the first quarter with a score of 7 to 4. In the second quarter Hannah and Lexi marked closely and made some super interceptions which we took advantage of with Eliza and Harriet building play through center court. Lucy scored a fantastic shot from the edge of the circle and again we finished the quarter leading 10 – 8. The third quarter was a close contested, play was end to end, both teams made some errors, and Hulme narrowly took the lead 13 – 12. It was all to play for in the final quarter and unfortunately BGS could not secure the win on this occasion. Good work rate shown by all players, determined until the final whistle and unlucky not to win the game. Imogen was awarded player of the match - well done!
