Our under 12 team travelled to Scarisbrick full of confidence after some good recent results. Despite the challenging conditions, BGS took an early lead with Ethan M capitalising on a loose pass to fire home from close range. Scarisbrick then equalised just before half time.

BGS remained resolute in defence with Joey winning several important 1v1 duels. Eventually, a neat one-two on the edge of the box with Harley put Alex through to restore our lead mid way through the second half.

As the game neared its conclusion, a long-range shot made the score 2-2 before a late penalty gave Scarisbrick a 3-2 lead with two minutes left on the clock.

Rather than let their heads drop, BGS surged forward in search of an equaliser. Will retrieved a loose ball in the box and somehow managed to get his shot away whilst lying on the ground. The ball trickled over the line and the match duly finished 3-3!

Overall, a fair result and a satisfying end to a good contest.
