The BGS U12B netball team faced a competitive and challenging match against Manchester High on Saturday, battling through cold conditions to secure a hard-earned victory with a final score of 10-8. The team started strong, with a solid first quarter that saw them lead 4-3. Throughout the opening stages, BGS showed good control and teamwork, with each player contributing to both attack and defence. However, as the match progressed, the team struggled to maintain their clinical edge. In the third quarter, Manchester High capitalised on some missed opportunities and less precise passing from BGS, taking the lead 8-6. Despite the setback, the BGS girls demonstrated incredible resolve in the fourth quarter. With determination and a clear focus on reclaiming the lead, they produced their best performance of the match, winning the quarter 4-0 and securing the overall victory 10-8.

Ava and Skyla were both awarded Coaches’ Player of the Match for their performances, particularly their ability to win crucial turnovers that disrupted Manchester High’s attacking flow. Skyla was also recognised by the opposition as their Player of the Match for her brilliant all-round contribution to the game.
