For the last senior netball fixture of the year, the U14 team travelled to Wright Robinson college for the U14 Greater Manchester County tournament. It was an excellent morning of netball and a real highlight of just how much this team have improved. The team won their first 2 matches in the rounds and lost 1, meaning they were through to the semi-final! In the semi-final they faced Loreto Grammar School, who were winners of their group stage. The match was very close throughout, but Loreto just pulled away in the first half at 6-3. In the second half, the game was very even and went back and fourth numerous times, with both teams only scoring 1 goal each. This meant the U14 team lost in the semi-final 7-4, just missing out on the County final. A fantastic way to finish the netball season, well done to all players for your commitment to the school team and continuous improvement!
