The Year 6 netballers enjoyed a very competitive, yet enjoyable day at the AJIS tournament today. We began the group stage very nervously and this was reflected in some careless errors but we became more fluid and accurate with our passing and ball placement, the more games we played. We secured 4th position which resulted in us going into the Plate competition.

Group Stage results: BGS v Kings Chester lost 8 - 0

BGS v Scarisbrick lost 7 - 4

BGS v Stockport lost 8 - 2

BGS v St Mary's Prep. won 7 - 0

After the lunch break we beat Westholme in the first round of the Plate finals 8 - 4, lost to Queen's Chester in the semi finals and then played a very close game against Scarisbrick for the 3rd and 4th place position and this was a very tight match which we just lost with a result of 3 goals to 2!

Well done to Omon for being selected 4x as the umpire's player of the match and to Lara and Zara who were also selected for umpire's player of the match.

A big thanks to all of the players for their positivity and support of each other. It was a great experience to see you progress and develop through the competition!
