Our U9 netball team travelled to the Queen's School, Chester to play in their first netball fixture representing Bury Grammar School. The AJIS netball tournament, included 13 schools from across the North-West. Throughout the day the team played 8 matches, giving them plenty of game time in each position and exposure to competitive match play. The team's footwork skills and defensive pressure was excellent in every game, and we demonstrated moments of fantastic play across the day. In the afternoon, we made it to the Bowl semi-final against Scarisbrick. The first half started off close but the opposition then took the lead. In the 3rd/4th play offs, the team showed excellent determination and resilience but just missed out on 3rd place losing 2-1 to AKS Lytham. Overall, the team finished 4th place in the bowl. Congratulations to all players and well done for a super start to your BGS netball journey!
